Eniola Badmus apologises to Laide Bakare over interview reaction following her outburst

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has apologised to her colleague, Laide Bakare, following the backlash over her reaction when Bakare’s name was mentioned during a recent interview.

In a statement shared on social media, Badmus acknowledged that her response could have come across as dismissive and expressed regret over how it may have been perceived.

“On reflection, I realise my reaction when Laide Bakare's name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologise,” she wrote.

The actress added that despite whatever differences may exist between them, she has chosen peace and genuinely wishes Bakare well.

“Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well. We're all growing, learning and becoming better versions of ourselves. Sometimes maturity is simply knowing when to let go and move forward,” she added.

Badmus ended her message with the Yoruba expression, “Joo maa binu,” asking Bakare not to be offended while calling for an end to negativity and grudges.

“No negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reigns,” she wrote, alongside a heart emoji.
